• 國際賽事主要有由國際賽法鬥聯合會及其旗下組織舉辦的各級別賽法鬥錦標賽和世界體育總會下屬的其他體育聯合會舉辦的綜合體育比賽中的賽法鬥項目。目前這項運動是世界武博會和世界大學生運動會的正式比賽項目。
• 國際賽法鬥聯合會組織的世界賽法鬥錦標賽，是目前最重要的國際賽法鬥項目賽事，每年一屆。其中，奇數年份會舉辦Assaut（阿索級）的比賽，偶數年份舉辦Combat（攻霸級）比賽。
• 自1924年巴黎奧運的首秀至今，已近百年，儘管擁有71個會員國，卻一直遊離在奧運大家庭之外。近年來加快了重返奧運的步伐，2010 年得到國際奧委會對項目的認可，成為SportAccord 成員，列為世界武博運動會（WCG 注）正式比賽項目；同年又成為國際大體聯（FISU）家庭成員（正式比賽項目），在法國蘭特市舉辦了第一屆世界大學生賽法鬥錦標賽。2024 年的奧運會，各項條件優於競爭對手的巴黎以“百年奧運”之名申辦，志在必得。而作為承辦城市的選項權優勢，源於法國的法式拳擊項目將很可能入駐奧運會正式比賽項目序列。

• International competitions mainly include the various levels of Savate championships organized by the Fédération Internationale de Savate (FISav) and its affiliated organizations, and the Savate event in the multi-sports events organized by the International World Games Association (IWGA) and its affiliated associations. This sport is an official event in the World Combat Games and FISU World University Games currently.
• The World Savate Championships organized by the Fédération Internationale de Savate (FISav), is currently the most important Savate event, being held annually. Among it, the Assault competitions will be held in odd-numbered years, while Combat competitions will be held in even-numbered years.
• It has been almost 100 years since the first debut of Savate in 1924 Paris Olympic Games. Although having 71 member countries, it has always been outside the Olympic family.
